Accessibility Statement

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is for everyone. We are committed to making our website welcoming and easy to use for visitors of all abilities. We are currently looking at ways to not only improve our website, but to enhance our service offerings and accommodations within our facilities to support the needs of all our patrons.

We are always working to improve our site and aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — internationally recognized standards that help make websites more accessible for people with disabilities.

Our website is part of Montgomery County's website, and the county manages some of the accessibility features on our site. To learn more about those efforts, you can visit the Montgomery County Accessibility Statement.

Environmental Commitment

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is proud to participate in Montgomery County's Green Certification Program. Environmental responsibility is a natural extension of our mission to engage, inspire, and empower our community.

Our library model embodies sustainability through shared resources—every borrowed book is an act of conservation, and every shared resource helps reduce consumption countywide. We extend this commitment through our year-round Booktique used bookstore, Friends of the Library book sales, and hands-on DIY and creative reuse workshops that help patrons incorporate sustainability into daily life.

Our new North Branch was purposefully designed with energy-efficient systems and sustainable materials, and features outdoor spaces where patrons can meet, read, and play outdoors. At the Main Library, we continue implementing conservation improvements to reduce our environmental impact.

Protecting our shared environment is central to our promise to Clarksville and Montgomery County. The library is not only a place where books are just the beginning—it is also where we learn, model, and build sustainable practices together.
