Montgomery County E911 has an extensive training program for newly hired employees. A new telecommunicator is in training for several weeks and must meet the expectations of predetermined criteria before successfully completing the training program. During their training a new telecommunicator will work with a supervisor or communications training officer and receive hands on experience answering 911 and administrative phones. Dispatch training continues with radio dispatching for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Montgomery County EMS, Volunteer Fire Services and the Rescue Squad.

All of our Telecommunicators receive training /certification in the following:

• APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator Course 40 Hours
• APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch Course 24 Hours
• National Incident Management System ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 704

*Montgomery County E911 has seven employees trained to respond across the State as members of the TN Public Safety Network Debriefing Team. The Debriefing Team responds to other Emergency Agencies to assist employees after a critical incident.

Training Supervisors

Angelia Koski ENP, TAC

Angelia has been employed with the Montgomery County E911 Center since 1995. She had previous dispatching experience with Austin Peay Campus Police. Angelia is a certified APCO Instructor for Public Safety Telecommunicator, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Communications Center Supervisor and Communications Training Officer. Angelia became the 17th person in the State to receive certification as an Emergency Numbers Professional through the National Emergency Numbers Association. Angelia serves as the Terminal Agency Coordinator, liaison for E911 and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation TIES Unit. Angelia serves as a COML, Communications Unit Leader for Homeland Security District 7.

Angelia is a member of the Montgomery County E911 User Board and the TIES User Group Training Committee.

Julie Vogle, NREMT

Julie has been employed with the Montgomery County E911 Center since 2000. She had previous dispatching experience with Todd County E911 Center in Elkton, Ky. Julie is a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician and CPR Instructor for American Heart Association. Julie is a certified APCO Instructor for Public Safety Telecommunicator, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Communications Center Supervisor and Communications Training Officer.
