Beginning Tuesday May 20, 2025, Lafayette Road (within the existing construction zone) will be temporarily reduced to one lane during daylight hours from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with contractor personnel conducting flagging operations (within the roadway) as needed to keep traffic flowing in each direction.  This operation is necessary to establish a new Traffic Pattern for Lafayette Road.  The existing lanes will be shifted to the north side of Lafayette, with two new traffic lanes, each 11 feet in width.  This will allow for construction to continue on the south side of Lafayette Road.  Motorists are being asked to be alert to these new conditions and new traffic pattern. Construction will continue through this summer and into the fall when this project is expected to be completed.  Additional updates to follow as needed. 

REMINDER: Motorists need to be aware that the speed limit through this construction zone has been reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH. New regulatory signs have been installed reflecting this change in speed limit.
