May 16th Downtown Commons Concert Canceled Due to Inclement Weather
The opening night of the 2025 Downtown @ Sundown concert series, originally scheduled for Friday, May 16 and featuring Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Experience, has been canceled due to the forecast of severe weather.
The Montgomery County events team and sponsors were excited to kick off another season of free live music at the Downtown Commons however, the safety of attendees, performers, vendors, and staff remains the top priority. After discussing the weather forecast with the National Weather Service for this evening, May 16, the risk for unpredictable weather exceeds their public safety threshold.
The Downtown @ Sundown concert series will continue as scheduled with the next show on Friday, June 6, featuring Kid Kentucky, a high-energy tribute to Kid Rock.
All concerts take place at Downtown Commons, a vibrant community space managed by Montgomery County Parks and Recreation. Attendees can look forward to food trucks lining Main Street, drinks available for purchase from TriStar Beverage, and nearby dining at Wolf Down. Concert goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets but are reminded that pets, coolers, smoking/vaping, and outside alcohol are not permitted.
Downtown @ Sundown is presented by TriStar Beverage and F&M Bank, with support from Waste Connections of Clarksville.
